Why should I choose LZ Roofing?
With over 30 years serving South Florida, we bring deep local experience, an honest no-pressure process, and a track record you can verify — 490+ permitted projects on public record, ranked top 5% of Florida contractors on BuildZoom (score 109), and a 4.7★ rating on Thumbtack. We show up on time, give straight answers, and back our work.
What roofing services do you offer?
We install and repair residential and commercial roofs — shingle, concrete and clay tile, flat/TPO, and metal roofing. We also handle storm damage repairs, insurance claim documentation, gutter installation, and wind mitigation reports. If it’s on your roof, we handle it.
What areas do you serve?
We’re based in Aventura and serve Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties — including Aventura, North Miami Beach, Miami, Hollywood, Hallandale Beach, Coral Gables, Hialeah, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and surrounding areas. Not sure if we cover your area? Call or text us and we’ll let you know.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — we’re a licensed Certified Roofing Contractor, license #CCC1329407, verified active by the State of Florida. We carry general liability and workers’ comp insurance. Certificates of insurance are available on request before any work begins.
How much does a new roof cost?
Every roof is different — the cost depends on your home’s size, the pitch of the roof, the material you choose, and the scope of any additional work. Rather than give you a number that may not apply to your home, we’d rather come out, take a look, and give you an accurate estimate. It’s free and there’s no obligation.
What roofing materials do you work with?
We work with asphalt shingles (3-tab and architectural), concrete and clay tile, standing seam and corrugated metal, TPO, and modified bitumen for flat/low-slope roofs. We only use materials from reputable manufacturers rated for Florida’s wind and UV conditions.
How long does a roof replacement take?
Most residential roof replacements take one to three days depending on size and complexity. Tile roofs can take longer. We’ll give you a realistic timeline before we start, and we communicate throughout the job so you know exactly where things stand.
Do you help with insurance claims after storm damage?
Yes. We document damage with photos and detailed reports to support your insurance claim, and we can work alongside your adjuster. We’re familiar with the process and make it as straightforward as possible — we want you to get a fair settlement.
Do you provide wind mitigation reports?
Yes — we provide wind mitigation reports on all new roof installations. These reports document how your new roof was built and can qualify you for meaningful discounts on your homeowner’s insurance premium.
What payment methods do you accept?
We keep it simple and flexible — we accept cash, check, Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, and Google Pay. Ask us about payment arrangements when you receive your estimate.
What are some signs I need a new roof?
In Florida, watch for: missing, cracked, or curling shingles; dark stains or streaks on the ceiling; granules collecting in your gutters; visible daylight in your attic; a roof that’s 20+ years old; or anything that seems off after a storm. When in doubt, a free inspection costs you nothing.
Do you pull permits?
Yes — always. We pull all required permits for roofing work and coordinate inspections with the county. Any contractor who offers to skip permits to save money is creating serious problems for you down the road. We never do that.
